Canadian Heritage has some interesting info about
doing business in other countries. ie: New York Art Fairs,
(The Visual Arts Market in the Tri-State Area for Canadian Art Galleries)
and other goodies;

This is about silly newspaper articles inhibiting the flow of serious news to the frontpage. The article referrs to serious news as the lifeblood of a newspaper.

A brand new painting (still wet yesterday).
30″ x 30″, oil on canvas.
My next endeavor is a 60″ x 45″ monster, which will probably have me wrapped up for the next month or so, but I’ll post one or two other ones here in the meantime.
(and ps. I just got the good word from La Luz de Jesus Gallery: they’ve offered me a 2-person show in April… so I guess this is going there. I’m really excited for it, but getting stressed: 2 months?! jesus)

Should Your Company Offer One Brand of Replacement Window, Or Several?
For this illustration the art director asked me to create a “Mr Window” character to go with the window salesman. I really enjoyed drawing this one!

New Opportunities Exist Outside Your Comfort Zone
This one went through a number of changes. I decided to use real wood for the fence instead of drawing the wood grain and I think it turned out pretty good.

I’ve got a bunch of new paintings done, just needing some scanning/photographing. Here’s one for now.
16″ x 20″, oil on canvas.

So, Todd, Lee, Dean and myself have been lending our talents to a monthly art/music showcase called “Picture This…”. This month I’ve decided to do a display of 150 one-of-a-kind buttons featuring the artwork of my friends (and everyone else you guys might know). Each button will be hung like a tiny art piece and will have the artists name and website on the back of them. Ideally I’d like to sell the collection off at cost ($2?) by the end of the night. My hope is that this will make us a few fans, and generate some good word of mouth when people spot their friends wearing them around town. Time is short though, so feel free to crop existing work and send it to me ASAP. Deadline is next Monday.
